Instead of using money in the Wii Shop, Nintendo uses Wii points as the currency for all downloadable games and other software downloads. So before you go shopping in the Wii Shop, you'll need to buy points first.


Unlike the Wii console and the Wii Fit game, there's no shortage of points and they're easy to purchase. You can buy your points directly from the Wii Shop or you can buy points cards from Wii retailers.
